5422-EWR-DURING DESCENT THE LEFT ENGINE RPM WENT TO 105.9%, CREW PERFORMED ENGINE SHUTDOWN, AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCEDENT. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND REPLACED THE LEFT PROPELLER. PERFORMED A MAINTENANCE CHECK FLIGHT, AIRCRAFT OPERATED NORMALLY.
