DISPLAY FAILED, CABIN HAD SMOKE PRESENT WITH STRONG ELECRICAL ODOR.  A DETAILED SMOKE & FUMES INSPECTION WAS PERFORMED.  DISPLAY HAD A STRONG ELECRICAL ODOR.  DISPLAY R & R WITH NEW.  ACFT POWER APPLIED & RAN FOR AN HOUR, NO SMOKE OR ELECTRICAL ODORS NOTED.
