DURING HEAVY MAINTENANCE CHECK, L1 ENTRANCE WAY EMERGENCY EXIT BATTERY PACK FAILS TO HOLD A CHARGE.  REMOVED AND REPLACED EMERGENCY EXIT BATTERY PACK IAW B727 MM 335002.  OPERATIONS CHECK GOOD IAW 335000.
