IN FLIGHT LT HOT BATTERY LIGHT ILLUMINATED WITH ALL ASSOCIATED RELAYS OPEN.  AIR CREW DIVERTED AIRCRAFT.  MAINTENANCE ARRIVED AND FOUND LT BATTERY  BAD.  REMOVED AND REPLACED LT BATTERY.
