## Discrepancy

ON FLIGHT 4258, AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO LGA FOR SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT.  AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE.  REMOVED AND REPLACED BALLAST ON OVERHEAD CEILING IAW EMB 33-21-05.  OPS CHECK GOOD.  AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
