APU FAILED TWICE IN FLIGHT. FIRST RESTART WAS SUCCESSFUL, RAN FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES. FAILED AGAIN. WITH IDG 2 OUT, DIVERTED TO CVG. EMERGENCY DECLARED, T/S IAW FIM 49-10-00-810-810-A. R & R ELECTRONIC STARTER CONTROLLER IAW ERJ 170 AMM 49-42-01. OPS CHECK GOOD.  NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.
