## Discrepancy

UPON LANDING AT MCI,  TOWER SAID WE HAD A FIRE IN THE LT WING. STOPPED & THE NR 1 ENGINE FAILED.  HAD NO FIRE INDICATIONS.   ACCOMPLISHED DFDR DOWNLOAD FOR NR 1 ENG EVENT. PPE SUGGESTED NR 1 HMU REQUIRED REPLACEMENT AFTER REVIEWING THE DATA.  REMOVED & REPLACED NR 1 ENGINE HMU,  LEAK AND OPS CHECKED GOOD IAW MT 773-21-10.
