ON LEFT ENG SHUTDOWN; FUEL FLOW DROPPED DOWN INITIALLY THEN CAME UP, THEN DISPLAYED ENG FAIL AND SHUT DOWN.   REMOVED NR 1 ENGINE HMU IAW AMM 73-21-10,  REMOVED NR 1 ENGINE SERVO FUEL HEATER IAW AMM 73-11-07, REMOVED MAIN OIL/FUEL HEAT EXCHANGER IAW AMM 79-21-02.  PARTIALLY REMOVED NR 1 ENGINE FUEL PUMP IAW AMM 73-11-01.  R & R NR 1 ENG FUEL PUMP PACKAGE PER MT 773-11-00. OPS CHECKED GOOD.
