JFK - FLT 782 - DURING CRUISE, AISLE SERVING CART OVERHEATED AND EMITTED SMOKE.  DISCONNECTED SERVING CART.  FOUND SHORTED HEATING ELEMENTS.  REPLACED SERVING CART, MFG P/N 953008-119.  SERVING CART OPERATION THEN CHECKED NORMAL.  (M)
