COCKPIT THRESHOLD STEP LIGHT DOES NOT ILLUMINATE WITH COCKPIT DOOR OPEN.   STEP LIGHT COVER LENS PAINTED OVER.  BULB WORKS.  CLEANED PAINT FROM LENSE, INSTALLED COVER.
