LEFT GEN TRIPPED, RAN QRH, RESET NORMAL.  PERFORMED BPCU BITE, IAW B767 FIM 24-20 FT 801.  NO FAULTS.  THEN PERFORMED ENGINE RUN OF THE ENGINE NR 1.  NO FAULTS.  GEN OPERATES NORMAL.
