CREW REPORTED, HEARD A LOUD RUSH OF AIR SOUND.  AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO CLT WITHOUT INCIDENT.  MAINTENANCE FOUND THE EXTERNAL POWER DOOR OPEN.  MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND SECURED DOOR.  AIRCRAFT WAS RELEASED FOR SERVICE.
