CREW REPORTED A LIGHTNING STRIKE IN CLT.  MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND REPAIRED DAMAGE TO THE ELEVATOR PER THE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANUAL.  AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
