LEFT PROP HEAT CAS MESSAGE ILLUMINATED AFTER PROP HEAT WAS SELECTED ON.  AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO THE FIELD.  MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE LEFT PROP DE-ICE BRUSH BLOCK, OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD.
