## Discrepancy

FUEL CONTROL UNIT  WAS RECEIVED FOR REPORTED LOW FUEL FLOW DURING ENGINE OPERATION. THE FUEL CONTROL UNIT WAS INSPECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH COMPONENT MAINTENANCE MANUAL WG60183. DISASSEMBLY REVEALED SEVERELY WORN STUB SHAFT. THE SEVERITY OF THE STUB SHAFT WEAR WOULD CAUSE THE FUEL CONTROL NOT TO TURN (SPIN) AS NEEDED FOR NORMAL OPERATION, LIMITING FUEL FLOW TO 180 +/ - 20 POUNDS PER HOUR.
