## Discrepancy

FUEL CONTROL UNIT P/N 897801-2 S/N: 2481460, WAS RECEIVED FOR REPORTED LOW FUEL FLOW DURING ENGINE OPERATION. THE FUEL CONTROL UNIT WAS INSPECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH COMPONENT MAINTENANCE MANUAL WG60183. DISASSEMBLY REVEALED SEVERELY WORN STUB SHAFT P/N 3499-096. THE SEVERITY OF THE STUB SHAFT WEAR WOULD CAUSE THE FUEL CONTROL NOT TO TURN (SPIN) AS NEEDED FOR NORMAL OPERATION, LIMITING FUEL FLOW TO 180 +/ - 20 POUNDS PER HOUR.
