FLT # 2468, CHS-BOS. INFLIGHT REPORTED A BURNING SMELL IN THE FWD AND AFT GALLEYS DURING TAKEOFF WHICH DISSIPATED WITHIN 3 MIN; PER FLIGHT ATT THE SMELL WAS SIMILAR TO BURNING TOAST. FOLLOWED TSM 21-22-00-04AAA-423-4 STEP 16 VISUALLY INSPECTED AND OPERATED ALL EQUIPMENT IN FWD AND AFT GALLEY. COULD NOT DUPLICATE DEFECT. A/C OK FOR SERVICE.
