FLT 953, JFK-PBI. DURING TAKEOFF, HAD FUME EVENT,  SEEMED ISOLATED TO FWD GALLEY & FLIGHT DECK. FUMES DISAPATED IN FLIGHT DECK AFTER 5 MIN.  F/A SMELLED FUMES,  PERSISTED IN FWD GALLEY. RAN ISOLATION CHKLST, CONFIGURED WITH PACK 2 OFF & BLEED VALVE SHUT.  ACCOMPLISHED INFO NOTICE 2017-T015L. VERIFIED ODOR IS PACK 1 TYPE 5,  PACK 1 DEFFERED IAW LOG PG 4719202 ITEM 2. NO FUMES NOTED WITH PACK 1 OFF.
