EWR - DURING CLIMB, NR 1 GENERATOR MECHANICAL FAIL LIGHT CAME ON.  SHUTDOWN THE ENGINE.  REPLACED NR 1 GENERATOR.  GROUND TEST NORMAL.  (M)
