DURING CLIMB LEFT ENG TURBINE FAILURE.  FLT CREW DECLARED EMERGENCY SHUT ENG DOWN PER QRH RESULTING IN UNSCHEDULED LANDING.  REPLACED NR 1 ENG, OPS AND LEAK CHECKED NR 1 ENG.
