Limitations and Conditions: Approval of this change in type design applies to only those Cessna Model airplanes which were previously equipped with either factory installed Edo Model 582-3430 floats, or Edo Model 696-3500 floats installed in accordance with STC No. SA439NW. Refer to Aerocet Parts Application List No. A-10008 dated July 15, 1993, or later FAA Approved revision, for a listing of which float gear parts may be interchanged on each airplane/float combination, except that (see Continuation Sheet, page 3) 8110-2 (10-68)

SA439NW. This approval should not be extended to airplanes of these models on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined that the relationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications, including changes in type design, will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. A copy of this Certificate and Continuation Sheet No. SA00018SE must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft.

- Many changes are known to have been made to some airplane float installations over the years. Thus, the installer should verify that the replaced parts are approximately identical to the Aerocet interchangeable parts. A dimensional comparison of float fittings and struts would be a good check.

- Install all interchangeable float attachment gear parts using existing float hardware following standard marine corrosion prevention measures. Replace all damaged and worn parts.

- Assess all existing float damage and corrosion for continuing airworthiness.

- Re-install water rudder rigging in an FAA Approved manner.

Re-install passenger step assemblies in an FAA Approved manner.
