Number SA00562SE

This certificate, issued to Cub Crafters, Inc.

1918 South 16th Avenue Yakima, WA 98903-1212

Part 3 of the Civil Air Regulations.

Original ProductType Certificate Number: 1A2 Make: Piper Model: PA-18 and PA-19 Series

Description of the Type Design Change: Install McCauley 82 inch diameter metal propeller model 1A175/GM8241, GM8242, GM8243, or GM8244 in accordance with Cub Crafters, Inc. Master Drawing List, MDL 103120, Revision new, dated May 26, 1998, and its listed data or later Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved revision.

Limitations and Conditions: This propeller installation is limited to the above models of aircraft that have a Lycoming O-320 Series engine of 150 or 160 horse power, equipped with a fixed pitch propeller using 3/8 inch diameter propeller bolts via original type design, or by means of a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) or FAA Field Approval. For proper propeller to ground clearance the aircraft must be equipped with an approved combination of wheels and tires that provides a minimum clearance between the ground and the center of the axle of 9-3/8 inches, or having extended landing gear per STC SA00411SE installed. Approval of this change in type design applies to the above model aircraft only. This approval should not be extended to other aircraft on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined that the relationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications, including changes in type design, will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. A copy of this certificate and FAA-approved Cub Crafters Airplane Flight Manual Supplement No. 103120-AFM, dated August 28, 1998, or later FAA-approved revision, must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft.

If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
