(1) FAA Approved Model List (AML) RCA-0526, Revision (-), dated November 20, 2015;

(2) Instructions for Continued Airworthiness RCA-0541, Revision (-), dated July 14, 2015;

(3) Airplane Flight Manual Supplement RCA-0542, Revision (-), November 20, 2015;

or later FAA approved revisions for items (1), (2), and (3).

(1) Approval of this change in type design applies to the above model aircraft only;

(2) Compatibility of this design change with previously approved modifications must be determined by the installer:

a. Equipment specific limitations are documented within AML RCA-0526, Revision (-), or later approved revisions;

(3) A copy of this Certificate must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft;

(4) If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

2. INTRODUCTION This document is the FAA Approved Model List for STC No. SA01806WI for the modification of Rockwell Collins, TCAS II system installations to change 7.1 in 14 CFR Part 23 Aircraft.

3. ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS The following Limitations must be evaluated by the installer for applicability.

1. The below existing equipment is a prerequisite to this STC for each airplane eligible for this proposed modification:

Existing TTR-4000 (7.0) Existing TTR-4000 (7.1) 822-1294-001 822-1294-002 822-1294-032

2. The TTR-4100 does not support aircraft installations utilizing ‘Extended Self-Test Mode’. The airplane maintenance and operational manuals must be reviewed to determine if ‘Extended Self-Test Mode’ is available, if so the TTR-4100 must not be installed.

3. Evaluation of the existing TCAS II wiring must be conducted by the installer to ensure the wiring interfaces defined below are not utilized, as the TTR-4100 does not support these functions. Should wiring be present at the TCAS II connector pins listed below, the TTR-4100 must not be installed.

• Analog ‘Synchro Inputs’ for magnetic heading on the following unit pins;

o Right Middle Plug (Section E) -5A (X Magnetic Heading Sync Input)

o Right Middle Plug (Section E) -5B (Y Magnetic Heading Sync Input)

o Right Middle Plug (Section E) -5C (Z Magnetic Heading Sync Input)

o Right Middle Plug (Section E) -5H (High – 26 VAC Reference)

o Right Middle Plug (Section E) -5J (Low – 26 VAC Reference)

o Right Middle Plug (Section E) -6C (Magnetic Heading Valid)

o Right Middle Plug (Section E) -10E (X Magnetic Heading Valid High – Low Level)

o Right Middle Plug (Section E) -10F (Magnetic Heading Valid Common – Low Level)

4. IMPORTANT NOTE It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure the prerequisite equipment is existing, approved, and functioning properly prior to the installation of this STC. The prerequisite equipment functional test per the applicable Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) will ensure the intended function for the modified system, as certified under this AML approval.
