Description of Type Design Change: Fabrication and installation of Airglas Engineering Co., Inc. cargo pod kit models LC18 or LC18H or cargo pod/belly tank kit and auxiliary fuel transfer system models LTC18 or LTC18WB in accordance with Airglas, Inc. Master Drawing List LTC18/LC18, Rev. C, dated June 20, 2011, or later FAA approved revision. 1) Airplanes incorporating this design change must be operated in the Normal Category only. 2) Landplanes and skiplanes incorporating this design change must be equipped with wheel/tire or ski installations which position the main landing gear axle centerlines at least 9 3/8 inches above the ground or bottoms of the skis. 3) Piper PA-18A “150” and PA-18AS “150” airplanes incorporating this design change must have cabin floorboards and rear seat installation modified to PA-18 “150” or PA-18S “150” configuration, in accordance with FAA approved data. 4) Compatibility of this design change with previously approved modifications must be determined by the installer.
