Description of the Type Design Change: Installation of a Supplemental Lighting System manufactured and installed in accordance with Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) Master Drawing List (MDL) MDL-S2R004-3, Revision E, dated April 3, 2018, or later Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved revision. Maintained in accordance with Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) ICA-S2R004-3, Revision A, dated March 18, 2014, or later FAA-accepted revision. Operated in accordance with Flight Manual Supplement (FMS) FMS-S2R004-6, Revision B, dated March 9, 2017 and FAA-approved March 27, 2017, or later FAA-approved revision.

Limitations and Conditions: This supplemental type certificate applies to the models listed above and only to the specific serial numbers as listed on the ASU MDL. This aircraft employs Night Vision Imaging Sy stem lighting, commonly named NVIS that has been certified to ensure the aircraft is compatible with Night Vision Goggles (NVG). For this reason, interior and exterior modification that add or change systems that emit or reflect light have the potential to alter or change the NVIS lighting vs. NVG compatibility. Compatibility of this design with subsequent modification must be determined by the installer. The determination of compatibility with modifications that emit or reflect light may require a re-evaluation by an FAA Aircraft Certification Office. A copy of this certificate, the ICA, and the FMS must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft.

If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
