Description of Type Design Change: Installation of Piper PA-18 three-inch extended gear & Maule Oleo Strut on Piper PA-16, PA-20, and PA-22 aircraft that have been previously converted to conventional landing gear (tailwheel), or for the conversion of Piper PA-22 aircraft from tricycle landi ng gear configuration to conventional gear (tailwheel) configuration in accordance with Mast er Data List, MDL-009, Revision N/C, dated June 22, 2009 or later FAA approved revisions.

1) The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

2) If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.

3) This STC has been found to be accepta ble for installation on aircraft th at have been modified by STC SA02306AK for the installation of Lycoming O-360 engines.

4) For instructions for continued airw orthiness refer to Trimmer Aviation document “Instructions for Continued Airworthiness”, document number ICA,-009, Rev. N/C, dated June 19, 2009, or later FAA accepted revisions.
