Description of Type Design Change: Installation of Hoskins MK V B Anti-Collision Light System in accordance with FAA Sealed Hoskins Top Drawing No. 10-0051.1 This Anti-Collision Light System meets the requirements of FAR 25.1397, 25.1401 (b) (c) and (f), (400 effective candles minimum) effective August 11, 1971. Limitations and Conditions: LIMITATION OF APPLICABILITY. The approval of this change in type design applies basically to the Grumman Model G-1159 only. This approval should not be extended to other specific airplanes of these models on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined by the installer that the interrelationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of the airplanes.

This determination should include consideration of significant changes in weight distribution such as an increase in fixed disposable weight in the fuselage.
