Description of Type Design Change: Installation of Transequip Inc. Passenger Seat Pallet System, P/N 275850, in accordance with FAA Approved Transequip Inc. Controlled Drawing List No. 275848, Issue IV, dated November 11, 1975, or later FAA approved revision.

Limitations and Conditions: The approval of this change in type design applies basically to the DC-9-15F only. The passenger seat pallets have been structurally substantiated with seats weighting a maximum of 35 pounds and are not authorized for the carrying of cargo. Passenger interior arrangement approval is not granted by this STC. This approval should not be extended to other aircraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined by the installer that the interrelationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. The determination should include consideration of significant changes in weight distribution, such as an increase in the fixed disposable weight in the fuselage. (See Page 3).
