Modification of Continental IO-470 Pistons P/N 627738, P/N 539814, and P/N 631481 compression ring grooves from present ½ keystone configuration to rectangular configuration in accordance with Chrome Plate, Inc. Drawing GA-1 dated June 21, 1962 and revised March 15, 1963; Drawing GA-1-A dated July 2, 1962; and Drawing GA-2-A dated February 28, 1966 revised May 16, 1972. Piston rings CC-70-C according to Drawing CC-70-C Revision C dated January 11, 1972 are to be used with this modification.

The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.
