Description of the Type Design Change: Installation of the Soloy Performance Improvement Installation on the Allison 250-C20R/2 or R/4 powered Bell 206B Jet Ranger III, in accordance with FAA sealed Soloy, LLC Master Drawing List No. 680-300, Revision A, dated May 5, 1989, or FAA approved revisions.

Limitations and Conditions: Approval of this change in type design applies to the above model aircraft as modified by Rolls-Royce Corporation STC No. SH4179NM. Compatibility of this design change with previously approved modifications must be determined by the installer. A copy of this Certification must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft.

If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

Equipment: The following must be installed in the Rotorcraft for Airworthiness Certification:

A. The basic required equipment as prescribed in the applicable airworthiness regulations (See Certification Basis).

B. The equipment must include a current Rotorcraft Flight Manual plus the appropriate FAA approved Soloy, LLC Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement S1042H, dated May 17, 1989, or later FAA approved revisions.

Effective Serial Numbers: 1252 and subsequent. (A four-pinion transmission is required to be eligible for the performance improvement installation).
