Description of Type Design Change: Installation of AlliedSignal, Inc., GN-XLS Flight Management System as a primary means of navigation for oceanic/remote operations in accordance with Era Aviation, Inc., Installation and Checkout Instructions, Era Document No. 33234-GNS-inst, dated July 28, 1999, or later FAA approved revision, and Era Master Drawing List Era Document No 332GNS, Revision 2, dated May 16, 2000, or later FAA approved revision.

Limitations and Conditions

1. Compatibility of this design change with previously approved modifications must be determined by the installer.

2. Era Aviation, Inc., FAA Approved Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement, dated June 2, 200, or later FAA approved revision is a required part of this approval. Era Aviation, Inc., Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Era Document No. Era 34AS332-1, dated May 31, 2000, or later FAA approved revision, and 14 CFR part 43 are adequate to ensure continued airworthiness of this modification.

3. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of this permission.
