For the Star Safire 380-HD system, Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement 350FMS-561 Rev. IR dated 7/31/2020 or later ODA approved revision and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness 350MMS-060 Rev. IR, dated 06/30/2020 or later ODA or AEG accepted revision are required. --see continuation sheet 3--

1. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

2. SR09113RC-D Description of Type Design Change (continued from sheet 1):

For the Star Safire II, Star Safire III, or Star Safire HD Thermal Imaging System Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement 350FMS-084, Revision 2 dated 02/04/08 or later ODA approved revision and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness 350MMS-017 Rev -- dated 1/30/08 or later ODA or AEG accepted revision are required.

For the 2000G, Star Safire, Safire II or Ultra Media LE Camera System 350FMS-051 Rev. -- dated April 9, 1999 or later ODA approved revision and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness 350MMS-017 Rev. -- dated 1/30/08 or later ODA or AEG accepted revision are required.

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101 and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48A, the certification basis is the same as TCDS H9EU, Rev 23, 11/18/2014 except for the following:

Limitations and Conditions (continued from Sheet 1):

3. This STC is applicable to all serial numbers for this Make-Model except installation of the the Star Safire 380-HD system is limited to AS350B3 in the ECP OP-4962 configuration.

4. This installation is limited to helicopters with high skid gear.

5. The 2000G Thermal Imaging System is not certified for AS350B3 model helicopters.

6. For the Star Safire 380-HD system, Airfilm Camera Systems AFDP-1 Down Post Utility Bracket (STC SR01784LA) must be installed.

7. For the Star Safire 380-HD system, reduce VNE power-on by 15 knots, with a minimum of 65 knots, and reduce VNE power-off by 15 knots, with a minimum of 65 knots. For all other systems, VNE power-on is 140 KIAS, not to exceed aircraft VNE.
