NOTE 11. SPECIAL INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
The uninstalled engine meets FAA requirements for operating in icing conditions. These engines also meet the
requirements of Canadian Airworthiness Manual 533.68 for operation in icing conditions as defined in Canadian
Airworthiness Manual 529, Appendix C. The Airframe Manufacturer must give appropriate consideration to installation
effects as stated in the Installation Manual.

The software for the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) has been developed and tested in accordance with the provisions of
"Flight Critical" category (Level A) of RTCA/DO178B or DO178C for the PT6C-67D, PT6C-67C, PT6C-67C1 and
PT6C-67E.

NOTE 12. MANUFACTURER’S SERVICE BULLETINS OR OTHER INSTRUCTIONS COVERING MATTERS OF INTEREST
Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, vendor manuals, aircraft flight manuals, and overhaul and maintenance
manuals, which contain a statement that the document is Transport Canada approved, are accepted by the FAA and are
considered FAA approved. These approvals pertain to the type design only.

NOTE 13. SPECIAL OPERATING PROCEDURES
Mechanical limits controlled by engine software enable the management of rotorcraft limitations within the certified
engine thermal ratings for the PT6C-67D, -67C, 67C1 and 67E engines.

The PT6C-67A receives gas generator rotor speed demand via analog electrical signals directly from the aircraft Flight
Control Computers (FCCs). The FCC is required to limit the interturbine temperature (ITT) during the application of the
30 second one engine out (OEI) power.

Instructions for Continued Airworthiness are incomplete for the PT6C-67A. 14 CFR 21.50(b) requires the holder of this
type certificate to ensue these instructions are complete and furnished prior to when the aircraft incorporating these
engines are issued standard airworthiness certificates or delivered/returned to service, whichever occurs later. The
aircraft must not be issued a standard airworthiness certificate or approved for return to service until the ICA are
complete and determined acceptable.

NOTE 16. IMPORT REQUIREMENTS
To be considered eligible for installation on U.S. - registered aircraft, each engine to be exported to the United States shall
be accompanied by a certificate of airworthiness for export or certifying statement endorsed by the exporting cognizant
civil airworthiness authority and containing the following language:
(1) This engine conforms to its United States type design (Type Certificate Number
E00068EN) and is in a condition for safe operation.
(2) This engine has been subjected by the manufacturer to a final operational check
and is in a proper state of airworthiness.
Reference 14 CFR Section 21.500, which provides for the airworthiness acceptance of aircraft engines or propellers
manufactured outside of the U.S. and for which a U.S. type certificate has been issued. Additional guidance is contained
in FAA Advisory Circular 21-23, Airworthiness Certification of Civil Aircraft, Engines, Propellers and Related Products,
Imported into the United States.

NOTE 17. LIFE LIMITED PART INFORMATION
Certain engine parts are life limited. For PT6C-67C, PT6C-67C1, PT6C-67D, PT6C-67E & PT6C-67A engines, these life
limits are listed in PWC maintenance manual P/N 3056642 for the PT6C-67D, P/N 3045332 for PT6C-67C & PT6C-
