Cessna Pilots Association, Cessna Aircraft Company, ACE 113 Small Airplane Directorate Subject: Airworthiness Concern Sheet concerning Cessna Models 525 CJ series.

Cessna Aircraft Company has released a Mandatory Alert Service Letter ASL525-53-04 Rev.1 dated April 03, 2007 to prevent the use of the relief tube which, if used, could cause corrosion of the fuselage skins, fairings, fairing support structure, and wing structure. If the corrosion becomes extensive, it could cause stiffness degradation of the structure and could lead to catastrophic structural failure and thus fatal accidents. The details of the Models and serial no's are given in the attached pdf file in the Cessna ASL to this email.

The ACS is intended for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Certification Office (ACO) Safety Engineers to convey known airworthiness (A/W) concerns to the aircraft owners/operators through Associations and Type Clubs. We request that you distribute this A/W concern to your membership for comments on technical and economic impact, if this Alert Service Letter is mandated by an Airworthiness Directive (AD).

Please provide your comments to this office by 08/10/2007. If you have any questions, please contact T.N.
