Subsequent investigation noted the left landing gear retract cable broke. M&d to be submitted by owner.Incident 20000611032419IFcd/Prec Ldg From Cruise · Mt. Holly, NJ(-23)Lost engine power. Decided to land in field. Landing touch down was satisfactory. After @ 500 ft roll-out, landing gear went into ditch and broke off wheels at base of struts. Porop damage and minro damage to engine cowling.
