From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot reported that gear appeared to collapse after touchdown on r/w 18OXC. Aircraft slid 1000' to stop. Minimal damage. Propeller-engine stoppage. Witnesses reported that gear was not down and aircraft settled on r/w. on site investigation showed gear handle down. Aircraft was raised, electrical power put on, gear remained up. Both gear circuit breakers were found popped. Re-set circuit breakers, gear came down normally. No damage noted on gear doors or wheels. This appears to confirm that gear was up and locked when it settled on to the runway. Second interview with pilot/owner revealed that he reported having problems retracting the gear earlier during the flight. We requested to witness a retract test as soon as practical to confirm reported gear problem.

As the FAA filed it
