From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot stated that he touched down and aircraft was slowing down but proceeded to ground loop. Pilot reported that he corrected to the right and aircraft headed for the grass. Propeller struck runway designation sign and left gear then struck the sign and folded. At this point engine was still running and struck the grass several times. Aircraft slowly slid to a stop coming to rest on left main tire under fuselage and finally wing (left) came to settle on grass. Pilot stated he then turned off fuel valve and shut down power in reverse order. Major damage included breaking off of landing gear and slight bending of propeller. Minor damage was scuffing of fabric and bending of cowling. There was no fire or injuries. This office considers this incident closed.
