From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: aircraft was cleared to taxi to R17R, on a night/vfr flight. Aircraft exited ramp area and entered poorly lit and poorly marked closed area of taxiway 11A" at okc airport. The closed taxiway area is marked only by 3 markers consisting of 12" high, 2" diameter pvc pipe with reflector tape. The aircraft involved has a single taxi light, and due to projected beam, pilot was unable to see markers. The aircraft subsequently struck a marker before the pilot was able to stop. The aircraft was undamaged and proceeded on its planned flight after satisfactory inspection. ATC tower personnel confirmed the area in question is poorly lit and marked. This report closes this incident.
