The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Narrative: on February 6, 1995, the aircraft departed on an IFR flight plan from 2N9 to frg. The aircraft climbed and maintained 7,000 feet. The pilot requested 9,000 feet due to turbulence. The richmond approach cleared the aircraft to 9,000 feet. Upon applying full power for the climb, the engine lost power and was unable to maintain altitude. The aircraft made an off airport landing 13.8 NM NE of Emporia, Virginia in a farm field. There was no damage to the aircraft, and there were no injuries. Field investigation found the left fuel tank full and the right tank half full. There were six quarts of oil in the engine. Full fuel flow through the carburetor was confirmed. All engine and aircraft controls functioned normally. An engine ground run was conducted, all functioned normally. The aircraft was flown out of the field. This incident is closed.
