From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot stated that when he put the gear down for landing at Fargo, ND the gear handle did not return to neutral and there was no green light for the nose gear. Numerous attempts were made to lower the nose gear but with no success. A landing was made with the main gear extended and the nose gear retracted. Aircraft received minor damage and no one was injured. Airworthiness was involved because the rod end for the nose gear up lock had separated from the up lock cylinder push rod. This caused the nose gear to remain in the up and locked position.

As the FAA filed it
