From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the flight was made by a student pilot on his last solo cross-country. He departed athens, GA around noon for Douglas, GA. Flying time was one hour and thirty minutes. He stated that after about 15 minutes of flight that he never heard any radio transmissions. I think this added to his anxiety. Prior to reaching Douglas, the ceiling started dropping and it was very hazy. It seems that his course was good and that he passed very close to his destination airport; but he missed it. He flew around for a while not knowing where he was. He tried to find bacon county airport but was unable. The pilot stated that his fuel was getting low so he started looking for a place for an emergency landing. He found an open field and he landed. The field had been plowed recently and the soil was very soft. The aircraft landed on it's nose gear and flipped over on it's back. There was only minor damage to the aircraft and the pilot was not injured.
