From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on approach to pao, he had to cycle the landing gear twice before he got a green down light for the landing gear. After landing, as the brakes were applied for a left hand turn off the runway, the nose landing gear collapsed and the propeller struck the ground. Inspectors note: the aircraft was jacked and when the landing gear was manually lowered it was found that the down lock would not engage properly. It was determined that the lock was partially frozen due to lack of lubrication. The last maintenance to the landing gear had been performed eight months prior to this and that the aircraft had been flown in wet weather and is parked outside when not in use. No pilot deviation and no. 8020-11 generated. This terminates the investigation and this report is closed.
