From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: Ms. Lorri mcbrayer, privacy data omitted arlington, TX reported to the southwest comm. Center that between 1735 and 1740 CST that a hunk of "blue ice" had penetrated the roof and ceiling of a bedroom in her residence. The ATC computer identified three aircraft in the area of Ms. Mcbrayer's residence at the time as delta flights 1678, 262, and 1676. The three aircraft were identified as Boeing 737, N328DL, Boeing 737 523DA, and Boeing 737 N367DL. A log book review of all three aircraft prior to this incident showed only one as having a previous history of aft lav leaks. That being Boeing 737, N328DL on delta flight 1678- however the aft lav had been inop on 3/29/95, the door locked and both tanks drained and outside service panel taped closed. The other two aircraft showed no previous history of any lav leaks. A ramp inspection of all three aircraft show no signs of any existing or previous lav leaks on any of the three suspect aircraft. Our investigation has failed to establish conclusively that any of three aircraft, at the time of this occurrence had a leaking lavatory which produced this "blue ice". This incident is closed.
