From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: upon taking the active runway, aircraft was cleared for takeoff. The aircraft taxied over a bump. A loud noise was heard and an unsafe indication in the left main landing gear occurred. The aircraft immediately listed 2 degree to the left. Takeoff was aborted, maintenance called and landing gear pins installed. Ok for taxi received. Aircraft taxied to gate. No injuries reported, normal deplaning of aircraft. (Gear had been replaced in August 1994). Airframe cycles: 28043 investigation on the ground revealed left main landing gear trunnion assy. Sheared off at the main trunnion point and ascended upward into gear cavity, gouging left main beam assy.
