From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Stalled during pullup to avoid power line after a spray run. Cartwheeled landing. Separated engine and nosed over. (-23) acft NE bound - first pass to drop smoke. Pulled up to clear powerline, started 180 degree turn. Acft began to shudder & descend, added power, continued to avoid trees. Continued into ground, hit hard, wheels caught knee high clover, rotated forward on nose, skidded around 150', engine separated, acft continued to rotate to upside-down position. Pilot let himself out, walked to farm for help. Pilot experienced burning eyes due to chemicals. Met FAA investigator at site next day. Acft appears to have stalled. Pilot stated he must have "got behind the acft." Inspector agrees. Pilot is owner/operator of acft.
