Ran out of fuel approaching destination airport. Stalled into trees trying make airport. Had flown full fuel range. (-23) on August 16, 1995 at 1800 central daylight time a Cessna 172, N6146E, flown by a private pilot, ronald hill, 1385428, was substantially damaged when it collided with trees and terrain during a forced landing. The pilot stated that the engine quit running and no flight plan was filed. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed. There were no injuries.

THE PILOT STATED THAT THE ENGINE QUIT RUNNING AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.
