From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: Mr. Bennett took off at approximately 1625 local time from Albuquerque International Airport for a local pleasure flight. Mr. Bennett was going to practice touch and go's at double eagle. When Mr. Bennett tried to lower the landing gear, the main gear would deploy, but the circuit breaker would pop because the nose gear would not deploy. Mr. Bennett contacted abq approach and was asked to position himself south of the VOR where he remained for approximately 45 minutes trying to get the nose gear down. When he could not get the nose gear down, Mr. Bennett made a landing on 03. Mr. Bennett shut the engine off on final, but the propeller was still windmilling on touch down. The propeller sustained major damage and the nose area at the forward doors were damaged. The aircraft was taken to robertson aircraft and placed on jacks. The front doors were destroyed and disconnected from the system, but the gear was cycled several times and worked perfectly each time.
