From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: N221NY was tied down, facing roughly west, in the general aviation parking area at Albany County Airport. Delta airline flight #1415, a B727, positioned itself in the rwy 1 run-up/waiting area facing roughly southeast. There were no other aircraft immediately next to N221NY. The exact distance between the delta B727 and the C172 is not known at this time. During what an observer called a two-minute "runup" of one or more engines, the resulting jet-blast broke N221NY'S tail tie-down rope. N221NY was thrown about suffering substantial damage to control surfaces, internal rigging, and the nose wheel. A full documentation of the damage has not yet been made.. This incident is closed.
