From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Hand rotated prop to loosen oil. Engine started aircraft hit parked vehicles. P lead line came off. Mags then hot. (-23) the pilot stated: that with both the master and magneto switches in the off position, the aircraft engine inadvertently started after he hand tuuned the propellor (not proping) a second revolution. The pilot was unable to stop the aircraft movement, which traveled about 200 feet and struck 4 parked vehicles and came to rest. There was no fire. The pilot's 3 and year old children were secured in the rear seat throughout the event. The 5 year old received minor injuries which did not require medical care.
