From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot stated the following: "departed N10 at 11:20 a.m. heading for ukt. During land checklist, gear light showed unsafe. I recycled gear several times then left traffic pattern to work on trying to extend gear. After several hours of trying different techniques, including pumping emergency gear handle, I deemed I had tried everything I knew and had used the emergency checklist to make emergency landing at ptw, runway 28, at 2:30 p.m." pilot landed with the aircraft nose-wheel-gear in the up position. There were no injuries or fire. Damage was minimal, limited to the prop and engine cowling. An m&d report will be submitted for the cause of this incident. This report closes this incident.
